Gord & Maggi retired in 2007 and moved to the friendly community of Owen Sound to open the Bed and Breakfast. They had searched all over southern Ontario for seven years to find the just right community.
The property was surveyed in 1864 but the house was not built until 1906 and has had only 6 owners during that period. The railroad passes just east of the property during much of the early history of Owen Sound. The old rail bed is now a walking trail that connects with the Bruce Trail. There is a great view of the Marina and the Georgian Bay from the gazebo where fishing and sail boats pass.
How We Work
We greet all our guests and make sure they have any information they need for their adventures in the Owen Sound area.
In the morning we serve a full hot breakfast between 7:30 and 9:00 AM. After breakfast is served, we look forward to conversations with our guests that cover most any topic. This the most interesting aspect of the business that we enjoy so much.
