A very popular restaurant for locals is the Boot & Blade. It open in 1976 and the present owner has been there since 1989. There is lots of parking since it is located in a mall office building. The name is taken from skates, as you see many pictures of hockey and other sports memorabilia from decades past displayed on the walls. This is a fairly large establishment with many tables and a few booths. The menu has a good range of appetizers and main selections at great prices. They feature daily specials from across the menu.
I have only been there for lunch and supper but they also do breakfast. The service has always been quick even when they are busy. The portions are large so you will not lack for food. We have shared a supper entree and it was more than enough for two seniors. Many of the local restaurant are closed Sunday’s but the Boot & Blade is open for business 7 days a week.
It is open from 8 AM to 2 PM so you can drop in any time for a great meal.
